Scott Perry

CO-FOUNDER

With almost 20 years of experience in the fitness industry Scott Perry has successfully co-created 3 profitable group training gym concepts in California. His passion for music and group fitness found a home when he team up with Ryan Hall, Kenny Nguyen, and Marybeth Perry in 2017 combining forces to create one of the most unique and exciting boutique gym experiences. The brand has grown into a local house hold name as it continues to push the envelop by constantly evolving and creating new ways to wow the members. He believes through encouraged fitness, combined with music that fuels the soul, an ever growing community of people will become happier and lead healthier lives.

Ryan Hall

Co-Founder

Ryan Hall is one of the Co/Founders of Motion Fitness Group overseeing brand development, trainer acquisition and development. Ryan also is lead on all expansion and design aspects in regards to Motion. Prior to Motion, Ryan Hall was a team leader for the United States Army’s elite Special Reaction Team where he led a 26 man SWAT team in charge of human trafficking investigations in SE Asia. He also has combat time leading his squad through combat operations in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Ryan led the physical training program for more than 400 service members, training and ensuring their physical readiness. Ryan is a trained Emergency Medical Technician with extensive knowledge of the human body.

Mary Beth Perry

Co-founder

Born and raised on Long Island, NY, Mary Beth landed on the west coast by way of Boston. There she received her Masters In Education and taught kindergarten in the public school system for almost 7 years. Her passions for wellness, century riding, and marathon running (including Boston 2014) helped fuel and launch her career in the fitness industry first at Equinox Newport Beach, as well as multiple OC boutique fitness facilities quickly becoming a highly sought after group fitness instructor and nutrition specialist. In 2017, Mary Beth Co-founded and continues to help operate Motion Fitness Group with her business partners Scott Perry, Kenny Nguyen, and Ryan Hall. Mary Beth holds multiple degrees and certifications including Ms.Ed., Pn.1, AFFA, Schwinn, NASM Anatomy, Reiki 2, and most recently graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition as a Certified Health Coach.

Kenny Nguyen

Co-Founder

From the beginning, Kenny is Motion Fitness Group’s managing partner overseeing technology, client & business data platforms, with primary focus on the company’s systems and processes. Prior to Motion Fitness Group, Nguyen was a Global Vice President at Foxconn Electronics, ran sales for a startup company in the wireless smartphone industry that sold in 2014; and worked from 2000 to 2011 as a Senior Executive for multibillion publicly traded Japanese manufacturing companies. During his time in corporate technology Nguyen closed relationships with Microsoft Xbox, AT&T, Blackberry, Samsung, Verizon, Ingram Micro, just to name a few. Nguyen attended Phoenix University studying Business Administration.

Joe Stacy

Director of Training / Partner

Joe is equal parts driven and laid back. He relentlessly embraces discomfort in fitness and life with a smile on his face. Joe believes any trainer can make you tired but he wants to help make you better. Gratitude, time outdoors, and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich everyday is a must. Joe will make sure you get the most out of YOU. Every. Single. Time.

Emily Gatti

Lead Trainer

Emily is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor. She has been in the fitness industry for a few years and is passionate about leading and helping others live a healthy, happy, and active lifestyle. She is sassy yet sweet, and loves to dance and spend time in the sunshine. Her classes are full of energy, great music, and she is always making sure your form is on point! Emily strives to make each of her clients feel seen and confident, and will push you towards your goals every single day.

Amanda Noel

Throughout her 3 years as a group fitness instructor, Amanda strives to make your workout the best part of your day. Growing up, Amanda spent most of her time in the dance studio (Irish dance studio that is) and went on to win the World Championships three times. If you ask really nicely, she might show you a jig or two. When she’s not in the gym, you can catch her hanging with her two puppies, riding her bike down the peninsula, or at the nearest music festival with her best pals. She’s got jokes, she’s got dance moves, and she will make sure you’ll never leave the gym without a smile.

Lindsay Davis

Lindsay may be small but is a mighty fire in the gym, bringing bright energy to her classes. Her philosophy is that fitness is about meeting yourself where you are today and that growth happens in your smallest of choices. Her classes are never lacking in motivation and with her 20+ year dance background, she’ll bring the moves to class! Lindsay brings over 8 years of experience in the fitness industry, filming for global fitness apps, and leading as a head trainer at a various big brand studios in both Chicago and Southern California. Lindsay is certified in personal training through NASM, CES, PCES, B.S. in Nutrition & Dietetics, she specializes in core and pelvic floor function, and is a pre/post natal fitness expert.
